Dukes Cut 11 Strokes for 5th Place at RMU Invitational

Coraopolis, Pa. - Duquesne's men's golf squad cut 11 strokes in Tuesday's final outing and moved up three spots for fifth in Robert Morris's 11-team Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Colonial Classic at Montour Heights Country Club.
Junior Brendan Madden again led the Red and Blue and tied for eighth place in the 58-player competition. Classmate Brian Sidone also finished in the top 20. Sideon bettered his Monday mark by five points with a two-over par 74, Duquesne's best score on the day.
The University of Toronto, whose men's basketball team hosted the Dukes this past September, won the event with a new tournament record of 586. Drew Creighton of Canisius secured the individual title with his two-day, event best 137.
The Dukes are back on the tee this Friday in their final event of the fall season, the two-day Hofstra Invitational at the Bethpage Red Course in Farmington, N.Y.
