Dukes in Third Place after Day One of A-10 Championship

Tom Slosky captured his third Atlantic 10 gold medal and set a new conference record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in leading Duquesne's men's track team to a third place showing after day one of two at the A-10 Championships. The Dukes tallied 38 team points and trail just Rhode Island and Charlotte.
Slosky won the steeplechase by nearly 17 seconds with an A-10 record time of 8:46.94. Junior Josh Eddy captured a silver medal in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 30:14.74 while the 4x800 relay team also finished second with a time of 7:46.96.
Day two action begins Sunday at 8:45 am.
