MONROEVILLE - The Duquesne women's tennis team remained undefeated in the Atlantic 10 Conference with their 7-0 shutout of St. Bonaventure Friday afternoon.

The Dukes began the afternoon by sweeping all three of the doubles matches by a combined score of 24-5. The teams of Johanna Bezjak and Rachel McGowan and Andrea Sailer and Alex Albano each breezed to an 8-1 win at No.1 and No. 3 doubles respectively. Zena Williams and Rebecca Poole were 8-3 winners at No. 2 doubles.

Williams, the reigning A-10 rookie of the week shut out the Bonnies' Anna Perevenzetseva 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Both Bezjak (No. 2) and McGowan (No. 3) both were 6-1, 6-1 winners. Poole made a tremendous comeback at No. 4 singles after dropping the first set 4-6, winning 6-4 and 10-1 in the tiebreaker.

Sailer, at No. 5 was a 6-4, 6-2 winner and Kristen Swenson, at No. 6, won 6-3, 6-1.

The 5-3 Dukes will travel to Philadelphia to play Temple Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. before stepping out of conference play to host Youngstown State on March 25th.
