Women's Tennis Falls to Saint Louis 4-2

MONROEVILLE - The Duquesne women's tennis team finished the 2008 season with a 4-2 loss against No. 8 seed Saint Louis at the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship.

DU opened the match by winning the doubles point as the team of Johanna Bezjak and Rachel McGowan won at No. 1 doubles 8-1 and Zena Williams and Rebecca Poole took No. 2 doubles 8-5.

Poole was the only Duke to win at the singles position, winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

After winning their first round match against Saint Joseph's, the Dukes fell to Xavier 4-2 and finished tied for seventh place with Rhode Island after losing to SLU.

Duquesne finishes the season with a record of 13-7.
