Camillo Named College Coach of the Year by the Allegheny Mountain District of the United States Tennis Association

Feb. 15, 2008

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne head women's tennis coach Joe Camillo was named College Coach of the Year by the board of directors of Allegheny Mountain District of the United States Tennis Association.

"I am very excited that I got this award," said Camillo, "It is quite an honor to be recognized by the USTA."

Last season, Camillo guided Duquesne to fifth place in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Wins over Big East schools West Virginia and Pittsburgh highlighted a 7-3 non-conference record as the Dukes finished a best-ever 15-6 overall.

The women's tennis team travels to Ohio this weekend to take on Toledo Friday evening and Bowling Green Saturday afternoon.
