PITTSBURGH - The Atlantic 10 Conference named Samantha Howard to their indoor track & field academic all-conference team.

Howard won bronze in the 3000 meter run (9:56.43) and was fifth in the mile run (4:57.15) earning DU a total of 10 points at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships. She also crossed second at the Kent State Tuneup in the 3000 meter run (9:54.94) and finished second in the mile (5:05.33) at the RooTown Open.

She was named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine District 2 Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-America Team as well as being named to the 2007 A-10 academic all-conference team.

A history major, Howard has a 3.89 grade point average.
